Joyce Mau
I specialise in signal processing, image processing, and LiDAR systems, with over seven years of experience in developing and optimising imagery of targets located in challenging environments using LiDAR systems equipped with Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPAD) to sense and measure the time-of-flight of emitted laser pulses. I have extensive experience in conducting experiments, including conducting one major field trial.
I excel in collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to effectively collect and analyse sensor data. I have led a multidisciplinary and international team of researchers in implementing a real-classification neuromorphic classification program for live SPAD LiDAR imagery. This program, initially trained on a toy problem involving four toy planes, has potential for future object classification tasks.
I have advanced programming experience in MATLAB, and basic experience in Python, C++, C, CUDA, and Verilog.
I have been featured in several articles and websites for my work which can be accessed on my website.
